Cpl Biggs and MCpl Agouassé’s names were drawn from the beret this week, and as such they will be our first two volunteers to help with the Legion’s breakfast on Oct 26, at the Shediac Legion, with MCpl Murray assisting with supervision. The breakfast will run from 0800 – 1000 hrs. Dress details will be communicated closer to the date.
The Poppy Campaign is in its first planning stages. So far the tentative dates provided by the Legion have us covering eight shifts in total, over two weekends: Nov 1&2 and Nov 8&9. Most likely, we’ll have teams split in morning and afternoon shifts at both the No Frills and IGA in Shediac. More information will be provided as the Legion’s plan takes shape.
The Sponsoring Committee meeting for all parents & guardians will take place on October 8, in the first floor classroom of the Rec Centre, from 2030 – 2100 hrs. All are welcome to join us.
Optional marksmanship training will take place on Friday Oct 10 & 17 this month, at the Rec Centre, from 1900 – 2100 hrs.
There will be a unit hike planned for October 25 to cover some orienteering, team work, leadership and field tools basics. We are currently exploring route options in both Shediac and the greater Moncton area, so more information will come. Please mark the date!
