Our first optional marksmanship training session is this Friday night (Sept 19), from 1900 hrs – 2100 hrs at the Rec Centre. Dress is comfortable civilian attire for all. Please bring your water bottle.
Reminder for MCpl Agouassé that the Gold Star Expo is Sept 26-28, and more information about travel details will be available closer to the date.
Next week (Sept 24), we are doing the cemetery clean-up. Please bring rakes, work gloves and scrubby pads (like those used for dishes) with you if you have them, and your water bottle. Dress is FTUs with unit t-shirts for returning cadets (also bring your coat in case it gets chilly), and comfortable weather appropriate civilian attire for new cadets. Directions to the cemetery were handed out at announcements, but a copy will be posted to our FB page.
All cadets who need to renew their medical validation forms or complete detailed health questionnaires MUST bring your forms filled out for Sept 24. We need to get this done before the mail strike, and a valid health file is required for several of our activities so it’s important to get your paperwork processed in a timely fashion to be able to participate fully.
Please notify us of any absences as early as possible, using the email addresses on the hand-out passed out at announcements. If you weren’t there, the details of the absence protocol will be posted on our FB page.
There will be a meeting for all parents/guardians interested in helping with the unit’s support committee onOct 8, from 2030 – 2100 hrs, at the Rec Centre. We need new members as currently we only have three. It isn’t a big time or effort commitment, but this committee is vital to the unit’s smooth functioning. This meeting will be announced again as we get closer to the date, but please save the date now.
The new training schedule and list of upcoming activities for October will be updated on our website by Sept 30th at the latest.
